"Business Administration, Economics and Law"
The MA Wirtschafts- und Rechtswissenschaften is a master's degree in Business Administration, Economics, and Law (henceforth MA BEL). It is a useful degree for students who wish to expand on their basic skills as well as their knowledge of economics and/or law. The degree is particularly intended to cover the increasing demand for interdisciplinary qualifications in the fields of management, economics and law. Designed to be used in both application and research, this discipline-based dual qualification provides both a wide range of generalist skills, especially needed within small and medium-sized companies, as well as specialist skills, required in larger companies and organisations or within a self-employed capacity.

The Carl von Ossietzky University of Oldenburg has a proven track record for this type of programmes, with a long tradition in combining economics, business administration and law. The structure of the programme achieves the above goals by covering the basics of both disclipines in the introductory courses (base modules) and offering five different profiles for specialisation.
The MA BEL provides in-depth knowledge of conceptual perspectives and methods of analysis in economics and law. This combination opens up a range of different career possibilities - not only in the private sector, but also in the public sector and within NGOs. Academics are increasingly called upon to possess interdisciplinary qualifications in the face of increasing complexity of the tasks to be fulfilled in global markets, transnational companies and inter- & supranational institutions.
