German language courses

You can choose from the following range of courses. Click on the appropriate title or photo for further information (descriptions of the courses, registration and fees).

These courses are exclusively intended for student applicants who want to study at Carl von Ossietzky University in Oldenburg and who need to prove that they possess the necessary knowledge of German for admission to the academic programme. The courses take students to level C1 and prepare them for the DSH exam (German Language University Entrance Examination for Foreign Applicants).

These courses are open to all international students (exchange and degree-seeking) as well as PhD students and visiting scholars. General German language courses are offered (levels A1.1-B2.2), as well as theme-based courses (e.g. concerning academic work). External participants can only take the courses if there are places still available.

The four-week intensive courses are offered at A2.1 and B1.1 level, each covering 100 hours of classroom teaching.
