Next Generation HPC
Due to the technical advancement of the technologies used in high-performance computing, and for economic reasons, the existing high-performance computers must be regularly replaced by new systems. Currently, the University of Oldenburg is planning to procure the following two new high-performance computers:
- Multi-Purpose-Compute-Cluster (MPC), funded by the Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft (DFG), the Ministerium für Wissenschaft und Kultur (MWK) of Lower Saxony and by the Bundesministerium für Wirtschaft und Klimaschutz (BMWK)
- Computational-Fluid-Dynamics-Cluster (CFD), funded by Investitions- und Förderbank des Landes Niedersachsen (NBank) and the Ministerium für Wissenschaft und Kultur (MWK) of Lower Saxony.
