General information about SEM

Humanity is coming up against ecological and social limits. Problems such as global warming, biodiversity loss, epidemics or poverty are becoming more and more pressing. In order to deal with these challenges, leaders with solid economic knowledge, a sound cross-sectional understanding of ecological and social issues and a strong sense of responsibility, i.e. experts in sustainability, are needed. The Master's programme in Sustainability Economics and Management (SEM) is designed to bring forth these experts. It provides graduates with the professional, analytical, interdisciplinary and social skills that enable them to work in companies, NGOs or international organisations. The programme further benefits from a high reputation and a long tradition. The contents that are taught in the master degree are closely linked to the environmental and sustainability-related research of the University of Oldenburg.
