Welcome, dear students at the ICBM!

To make the start of your master's program as smooth as possible, your student council has put together an exciting program for the orientation week. During this time, you'll not only get to know the university but also your new fellow students :)!

For the orientation week from October 7th, 2024, to October 11th, 2024, we have compiled the following program points in a table for you.

Mensa meal together

When: 12:30 p.m.

We start the week with a meal together in the canteen. This is the perfect opportunity to get to know each other in a relaxed atmosphere and make initial contacts. The meeting point is at 12:30 in building A14. Come along and let's have a relaxed lunch break together!

Campus tour

When: 2 p.m.
Where: Haarentor (A14) to Wechloy

After eating together in the Mensa, we invite you to join us on an extensive campus tour. We will start at the Haarentor campus (meeting point: A14) and explore the route to the Wechloy campus together. This tour is ideal for familiarizing yourself with the most important places at the university and finding out interesting information about the campus.

Info café MIBI

The Infocafé MIBI offers a great opportunity to find out more about studying at MIBI and university life in a relaxed atmosphere. Just bring your questions and enjoy drinks and snacks that you bring yourself. We look forward to a lively exchange and getting to know you better!

Info café MUWI

When: 2:45 - 4:45 p.m.

The Infocafé MUWI offers you the opportunity to learn all about the sea and the environment. Take the opportunity to ask questions, exchange ideas with fellow students and get valuable tips for your studies. Join us and make new contacts in a relaxed atmosphere!

Infocafé MarSens

When: Information to follow

The MarSens Info Café is another opportunity to find out more about the MarSens (Marine Sensory Science) degree program. Unfortunately, we do not yet have exact information about the event, but we have already sent out the request and will inform you about the time and place as soon as possible.

Student to Lecturer Meeting

When: 4-6 p.m.
Where: W15-023

Here you have the opportunity to get to know your lecturers and professors in an informal setting. The Student to Lecturer Meeting allows you to ask questions and get in direct contact with the lecturers. Use this opportunity to find out more about academic expectations and offers.

Wednesday

City rally

When: 2 p.m.
Where: Schlossplatz

On Wednesday, it's off on a discovery tour through the city! During the city rally, you will get to know the most important places and sights of the city and make new friends. The meeting point is at 10 am at Schlossplatz. Be ready for exciting tasks and lots of fun!
PS: Bring your own drinks and snacks!

Pinte42 Evening

From: 6 p.m.
Where: Schützenweg 42

In the evening, you can visit Pinte42, one of the most popular pubs near the campus. Here you can end the day in a relaxed atmosphere and have a nice chat over a cool drink. Bring some cash with you to pay for your drinks.

Thursday

Infocafé Ummo

When: 10:00 a.m.
Location: W15 0-023

The Infocafé Ummo is all about exchange and information. It is the ideal place to find out more about studying and everyday university life over a cup of coffee or tea. Details of the venue will follow, so keep an eye out for further information.

Games evening

When: 4 p.m.
Where: W15 0-023

We offer a cozy games evening for all games enthusiasts. Whether board games, card games or other board games - there is something for everyone. Come along and spend a relaxed afternoon with lots of fun and nice people. Bring your favorite games with you!

Pinte42 - Evening

From: 8 p.m.
Where: Schützenweg 42

Another visit to Pinte42 awaits you on Thursday evening. After the game night, you can end the day with another relaxed visit to the pub. Come along and enjoy the good atmosphere with your fellow students! The bar is only for us, as well as for the dormitory people

Friday

Bike tour

When: 12:00 p.m.
Where: ICBM Wechloy Campus

At the end of the week, we invite you to join us on a bike ride. The starting point is the ICBM Wechloy Campus at 12:00 noon. Don't forget to bring your swimming gear as we will stop at a swimming lake on the way. This tour is a great opportunity to explore the surrounding area and get the weekend off to an active start.
