Description

The course focuses on data extraction and machine learning for image and text classification using Python and TensorFlow (https://www. tensorflow.org/). After learning the basic programming skills of Python, students practice data collection via the Twitter API and classify the collected data using machine learning. At the end of the course, students will be familiar with Python and TensorFlow to use this knowledge for their own further research.
The course is held in English. Previous programming knowledge is not required. The seminar is designed for students at various levels with a general interest in digitalization and computational social science.
