General information
Our Institute offers courses particularly designed for the study of Protestant Theology of Old Testament Hebrew, New Testament Greek and subject-specific Latin.

Coordinator of Studies and Teaching
Old Testament Hebrew (Old Hebrew)

Old Testament Hebrew is offered in two or three one-semester modules of four hours and after proficiency certificate for each semester with alltogether 6 KP (credit points)(in the professionalization area).

The course for beginners (Hebrew I) is offered in the winter term and can be continued in the following summer term (Hebrew II).

If you wish you can complete the course with a Hebraicum after a further semester of Hebrew III.
New Testament Greek (Koine)
- New Testament Greek is offered in a module in two semesters with two hours each (plus 2 hours tutorium) and after proficiency certificate for each semester with alltogether 6 KP (credit points) (professionalization area).

The course for beginners (Greek I) is offered in the winter term and can be continued in the following summer semester (Greek II).

The course can be completed after the second semester with an examination evidence of subject-specific knowledge of Greek.
Subject Specific Latin
- a subject-related four-hour Latin course is offered in two courses of one semester each.
- the course for beginners (Latin I) is offered in the winter term and can be continued in the following summer semester (Latin II).
- the course can be completed after the second semester with an examination evidence of subject-specific knowledge of Latin and possibly also be concluded with an intermediate Latin certificate (Kleines Latinum).
