Out for the strike! Out for the university action day! Call for a rally + demo!
Dear colleagues,
No offer, no respect: The second round of collective bargaining with the TdL ended without a concrete offer. Instead, a vague "solution corridor", a long term until 2028, the threat of zero months and no minimum amount. The TdL also falls far short of our demands for junior staff and student employees. One thing is clear: your wages need a real race to catch up - now is the time for joint pressure.
This is why the trade union ver.di is calling on the University of Oldenburg and the Studierendenwerk Oldenburg to hold a joint strike day on 28 January.
Procedure on the strike day/university action day:
10:30 am: Meeting point for strikers at the Wechloy campus - make signs & strike materials
11:45 am : Starting rally at the Wechloy campus
From 12:00 pm: Demo to the Haarentor campus
12:40 pm: Final rally at the Haarentor campus
Until 2:00 pm: Joint conclusion with food and hot drinks
You can of course also take part in the demonstration and the rally in your free time, i.e. during your lunch break!
You will receive all information quickly and flexibly on WhatsApp and StudIP
Important: You have been called to strike all day from 5.00 am. This means: You do not have to work before the start of the programme and after the end of the programme.
Here is information on the second round of negotiations
