Call for Papers for MKWI sub-conference on ICT-supported corporate environmental and sustainability management

Multiconference Business Informatics 2016, 09 to 11 March 2016 in Ilmenau
www.mkwi2016.de

Management

Prof Dr Jorge Marx Gómez, University of Oldenburg

Contents

Corporate sustainability management encompasses the economic, social and ecological dimensions of entrepreneurial activity. The use of information and communication technologies (ICT) is a necessary prerequisite for its successful establishment in companies.
A fundamental distinction can be made between two perspectives: On the one hand, ICT itself is moving into the focus of internal and external stakeholders due to increased energy and resource requirements in the service creation process (sustainable IT management). The topic of "Green IT", which is being discussed in practice, provides initial approaches to this. On the other hand, ICT can support business decisions (e.g. corporate environmental information systems) by providing information back-up and thus enable the realisation of optimisation potential in sustainability management (IT for Green). A central question is how and which findings and concepts of business informatics can be utilised for this purpose.
The track focusses on concepts of sustainable IT management as well as IT support for the economic, ecological and social dimensions of corporate sustainability management and discusses research questions, perspectives and state-of-the-art applications in this field. Due to the interdisciplinary nature of the subject area, the aim is for experts from various disciplines to participate.

Possible topics for contributions

Submissions can deal with the following focal points of the sub-conference, but are not limited to them:
