Model-based and skin-enabled themes for OpenSAGA-based web portals

In the meantime, a number of standard layouts for websites have emerged that follow certain basic patterns (top left navigation, tree navigation versus pull-down menus, logo placement, etc.). The aim of the work is to develop standard templates for the most common forms of presentation and to investigate which parameters typically require variations (widths, logos, basic colours, etc.). Subsequently, a standard template system for themes and skin extensions is to be designed and implemented for OpenSAGA that allows variation via skin models based on JSF- and facelets-based templates and thus makes themes and skins for portals declaratively modellable in a simple way. Finally, the implementation is to be verified using prototypical examples.
