Many manufacturers of business intelligence solutions offer or want to include the concept of in-memory computing in their portfolio in the future. The rapid, permanent and affordable increase in the performance of computer hardware in recent years has created the opportunity to utilise this concept more extensively. The possibility of running complete ERP systems with several terabytes of company data in the main memory is already being investigated. SAP wants to build future software solutions on this concept and calls it HANA (High-Performance Analytic Appliance). Your task is to analyse this concept and SAP's implementation.
