Gender Research Days
Gender Research Days
With the Gender Research Day, the ZFG offers a forum for all students, researchers and teachers interested in gender and queer studies and has been inviting them to an interdisciplinary exchange on current projects every year since 2011.
Call for Papers: 11th Gender Research Day on 26.11.21, Deadline: 22.10.21
It's that time again: the registration round for this year's 11th Gender Research Day is open! The Centre for Interdisciplinary Women's and Gender Studies (ZFG) invites you to an inter- and transdisciplinary exchange on smaller and larger projects.
Anyone who studies, researches, teaches and/or is active in the field of gender and queer studies can present themselves and their research projects to an interdisciplinary audience. We would like to engage in dialogue across Institute and university boundaries.
We are particularly looking forward to contributions on current topics of gendering in culture, science and society, as well as on the development and transformation of gender studies in different areas and through different factors (such as corona, digitalisation, environment, economy, etc.).
But other contributions are also welcome - from bachelor theses to post-doc projects, group projects and project outlines as well as artistic and activist practices and projects can also be presented!
Ever been there? Then let us know what you are currently researching. Not been there yet? Just give it a try!
Please send abstracts/project descriptions (max. 1 page) for a 20-minute presentation by 22 October 2021 to: zfg@uol.de. Depending on the situation (partial/ hybrid), the event will take place in presence or online, please indicate the preferred form.
10th Gender Research Day on 04.12.20, 10 am - 6 pm, online
We would like to invite you to our Gender Research Day: For the tenth time, the ZFG (Centre for Interdisciplinary Women's and Gender Studies) is organising an interdisciplinary exchange on current projects in the field of gender and queer research. This year we are looking forward to diverse contributions from the cultural and social sciences, psychology and medicine (programme see attachment and below).
We would like to take the anniversary as an opportunity to take a closer look not only at gender research, but also at the situation of gender researchers. We have therefore asked: What are former lecturers working on today? What opportunities and obstacles have arisen on their career paths? To what extent does gender (research) play a role in the current field of activity? Which topics appear relevant today and in the future? In a round table discussion, participants of past Gender Research Days will provide information and can be interviewed.
We look forward to seeing you and to diverse discussions!
The event is open to the public and will take place online via the Big Blue Button video conferencing system. Please register HERE by 2 December 2020 or send us an email to
