Lebenslauf
I completed my studies of Political Science, Sociology and European Studies with a Diploma in Social Sciences in 2006 in Oldenburg. In 2007, I started working on my PhD thesis, which I finished recently, and began working as a teacher for Political Science at the University of Oldenburg. Before this, I worked in the private sector for several years.
Research and Teaching Interests
My research is concerned with political participation with a focus on political parties and party systems. The emphasis is on western democracies, but my studies also deal with transition states having party-competition. I am furthermore concerned with concepts of political socialization and civic education. Another field of my interest are economic policies.
My teaching experience includes comparative politics, multi-level systems and international relations.
