Sascha Köpken studied International Economics with a focus on Development Economics at the University of Göttingen. During his Master’s degree, he discovered his passion for startups and startup ecosystems and has since been involved with them in a variety of ways. His strengths lie in the structured development of business models, asking the right questions and always keeping an eye on the project context.
Franziska Kinzel (Startup Coach, University of Oldenburg)
Franziska is a Startup Coach in the field of Health at the University of Oldenburg. She will support you with your business idea, business model as well as knowledge of the specific challenges in the health industry.
Sören Etzold (Startup Coach, Jade University of Applied Science)
Sören is a project manager for the Jade Startup Box at the Jade University of Applied Science. During his masters thesis in strategic management, he analysed the potential of the startup ecosystem in the region Wilhelmshaven, Oldenburg and Elsfleth and has since been working in the field of entrpreneurial education. He and his team specialise in helping students find their passion and develop their business ideas into the next startup. Main topics are personal development, business model development, project and product management.

The world of marketing and communications is at the heart of Karen’s expertise and work experience. She first gained theoretical knowledge and practical experience in this field during her studies of Communications Management / Corporate Communications at the University of Applied Sciences in Osnabrück. Operating 5 years as a working student and project manager in an events company, she was able to enhance her practical skills and widen her expertise. Karen‘s focus lies on the strategy and concept development that is why part of the main competences of her work at smart insights® is Stratetgic Marketing as well as Content Marketing. In order to clear her head and develop new ideas, Karen loves to go skiing in the mountains – for her there is no better place to recharge and collect new creative input.

Irene Bejenke Walsh has worked as a venture and executive coach for over 20 years, founded her firm MessageLab in London in 2000, and has taken it international. Irene specializes in fundraising and investor communications and has advised more than 800 startups and SMEs across a wide range of industries, as well as assisting with more than a dozen IPOs. Her experience ranges from advising early-stage founders (pre-seed and seed) to multi-digit million venture capital rounds, as well as spin-offs from established companies and academia (tech transfer).
