cal Energy Systems (CPES) due to the increasing penetration of information
technologies and intelligent automation systems poses new challenges for
ensuring the security of supply. These challenges include communication\,
which must be kept robust to ensure reliable power distribution. Organic C
omputing Systems are often installed to ensure robustness\, e.g.\, against
disturbances and attacks. To achieve this\, an observer/controller archit
ecture for controlled self-organization can be used.The presented research
aims to answer the question of how communication robustness in CPES can b
e supported by controlled self-organization paradigms\, taking into accoun
t possible actions\, available information and different architectures for

Abstract:
Th
e strong interconnectedness of Cyber-Physical Energy Systems (CPES) due to
the increasing penetration of information technologies and intelligent au
tomation systems poses new challenges for ensuring the security of supply.
These challenges include communication\, which must be kept robust to ens
ure reliable power distribution. Organic Computing Systems are often insta
lled to ensure robustness\, e.g.\, against disturbances and attacks. To ac
hieve this\, an observer/controller architecture for controlled self-organ
ization can be used.
The presented research aims to answer the questi
on of how communication robustness in CPES can be supported by controlled
self-organization paradigms\, taking into account possible actions\, avail
able information and different architectures for the respective system.
