The Eurovision Sustainable Innovation Contest
In the project ScaleUp4Sustainability (S4S) Carl von Ossietzky University of Oldenburg (Ger), Linköping University (SE) and Vennebroek Academic Service (NL) are developing new forms of student-business collaboration in green venturing. S4S brings green venturing knowledge into practice and develops new teaching modules.
The Eurovision Sustainable Innovation Contest 2021 was a joint student competition based on three different modules aiming to develop new sustainable business ideas. The contest was a way of presenting business ideas developed in the different modules and to consequently announced a winner.
The event will was held online on Thursday 4th March 2021.
What were the benefits of joining?
Students in the competition could win fine prices from CEWE in the form of vouchers for photobooks, canvases etc.
All others should could get inspired by innovative students solving sustainability challenges. They could also meet likeminded people around Europe interested in upscaling sustainable innovations.
How did it work?
On the on-line event, 3-minute pitches of all business ideas were broadcasted. After that participants were sent to break-out rooms to decide their favorite groups in the categories: Best Sustainable Solution, Best Movie, Most original idea. All group winners were collected live and the total winner was announced in the main session.
