Dr. Christine Prokop
Short Bio
Christine Prokop is a postdoctoral reserach fellow at the University of Oldenburg/Germany. She received a PhD in Social Sciences from the University of Oldenburg, holds an MA in Social Sciences from the University of Oldenburg and a Diploma in Business Administration (Dual Degree Program) from the University of Applied Sciences Magedburg-Stendal. She was a visiting doctoral fellow at Rutgers University, Newark. Her research focuses on bureaucratic behavior and decision making using experimental methods. She is particularly interested in attitudes and behavior regarding risk preferences, prosocial attitudes, migrant discrimination, and honesty among public servants as well as the multi-faceted impacts of digitalization on public servant attitudes and behavior. Her work has been published in journals such as Journal of Public Administration Research and Theory and International Public Management Journal.
