In the Faculty V - Mathematics and Natural Sciences - of the Carl von Ossietzky University Oldenburg, the Postgraduate Programme Renewable Energy within the Energy and Semiconductor Research Laboratory (Prof. Parisi, Institute of Physics) offers a position for a

scientific Associate / research Associate
(PhD-student)
(TV-L 13 position, 50% of regular working hours).

Starting date is March 1st, 2019, the position is limited until February 28th, 2022. An extension of a maximum of one further year is intended.

Prerequisites for admission are a scientific university degree (master or diploma) in engineering or physics with a focus on renewable energy systems, as well as teamwork, high independence, readiness for interdisciplinary cooperation and excellent command of English. Proven experience in interdisciplinary areas as well as in university teaching is desirable.

The tasks involve research and teaching for the curricular- and content-related further development of the master program "Postgraduate Programs Renewable Energy". The main research task is the methodical appraisal of resilience for the analysis of energy systems. The main contribution of the work should be to develop a methodological framework in order to establish a multidisciplinary dialogue between energy-relevant disciplines at the University of Oldenburg. The role of the position holder includes the areas of (i) research, (ii) teaching, (iii) supervision of master's theses in this field and (iv) to a lesser extent organizational and administrative tasks in the working group.
