The Institute for Biology and Environmental Science at the University of Oldenburg is looking for talented and highly motivated

PhD students (m/f/d)

with a background in molecular biology, plant biology or bioinformatics. The lab addresses various questions of plant stress physiology and RNA-dependent gene regulation. Further details can be found on our homepage ( or in our recent publications (Szabo et al., 2020, The Plant Cell; Speth et al., 2018 eLife; de Francisco Amorim et al., 2018, The Plant Cell). Individual project can be discussed with the applicants. Positions are available immediately.

Your Profile...


  • Qualifying Master degree or equivalent university diploma in biology or related subject
  • Expertise in e.g. molecular biology, genetics, biochemistry, plant biology or bioinformatics
  • Ability to work in a team
  • Good communication skills in English
