Beschreibung
What opportunities do fellowships offer for your academic career? How does the application process work? And what is daily research life actually like as a fellow?
This information session is aimed at postdocs and advanced PhD-candidates from all disciplines at the University of Oldenburg and the University of Bremen who would like to learn more about the Fellowship Program of the Hanse-Wissenschaftskolleg (HWK) in Delmenhorst.
Together with Dr. Dorothe Poggel, Program Director of the Hanse-Wissenschaftskolleg, we will provide an overview of the Fellowship Program, the various funding opportunities, and the application process. This will be complemented by personal accounts from Prof. Dr. Mario Dunkel (tbc), a former HWK fellow, and Dr. Cassie Ann Short, currently a fellow at the HWK. They will share their individual paths to the fellowship, their research stay, and the opportunities the program has opened up for their academic work.
Afterward, there will be ample opportunity to ask questions and exchange ideas with the speakers and other postdocs.
Date: Wednesday, 2 December, 2.00 - 4.00 p.m.
Location: BIS-Saal, Haarentor Campus
The event is organized by the University of Oldenburg’s Postdoc Delegation in cooperation with the Hanse-Wissenschaftskolleg.
