I am a scientific researcher at ForWind - UniOl working on a Ph.D. about wind field reconstruction based on Doppler lidar. By measuring the flow around wind turbines with one or more lidars, it is possible to precisely characterize the wind conditions and use that in comparison with the dynamics of the wind turbine. This will provide a better understanding of the interaction between the wind turbine and the wind itself, as well as methods to parametrize the wind condition.
