Title: HTC-process water analytic
Biomasses produced from reneweable resources are of great interest. Within the field of biomasses Hydrothermal Carbonization (HTC) is much more CO2-efficient than the classic fermemtation process. It is a process with high potential for an industrial application. The economics of this process are highly influenced by the reaction temperature (150-240°C), reaction time (1-24 hours) and additives (e.g. acids, salts).
My aim is to develop a new analyzation and characterization methode, which will give information about the wastewater from the HTC process with regard to the formed chemical compounds and the total organic carbon (TOC) content.
