Description
Workshop description:
What fields of activity are possible for me after my doctorate? Do I want to stay in science or am I aiming for a career outside of academia? How can networks be beneficial for my future work?
This workshop is aimed at doctoral researchers who are at the end of their doctorate. The course supports doctoral researchers in sharpening their personal profile and finding suitable career fields.
_
Contents of the workshop:
Knowing your own profile is a crucial basis for job hunting. In this workshop, we will work out what skills and competencies you bring with you and what framework conditions are important for you to be able to work well. From this, you will develop your personal "career map". This knowledge will be used to explore potential career fields and build a personal network.
You will learn strategies to find your way in or outside of science or in the non-university job market. You will receive support in planning the next steps and an insight into how you can use networks in a targeted manner.
The workshop consists of a mixture of short theory units, exercises in individual work and small groups, discussions and presentations in front of the group.
