Every day, teachers are faced with the challenge of dealing with heterogeneous classes in a professional manner. Teachers who have the opportunity to critically engage with the varying levels of diversity in the classroom during their training are well prepared for similar situations in the future. Gaining and developing intercultural and foreign language skills and the experience of being new to and foreign in a culturally different environment can also help future teachers to prepare for teaching in a variety of teaching and learning settings.
