Upgrade for the UOL vehicle fleet: University staff can now borrow campus bikes for work-related journeys – from folding bikes to cargo bikes, there’s something to suit every need.

13 August 2026 marks a special day for the University Medicine: research facilities and an anatomy department are to be built in the Technology Park and completed by mid-2030.

17 young people have started their apprenticeships at the university this August. The range of professions is wide – including administration, crafts and laboratory work. 

This year’s staff meeting was well attended despite the hot weather. The presentation slides and a summary of the discussed topics are available on the Staff Council page.

The Presidential Board has decided to update the university’s house rules. The new regulations are intended to make campus life easier and noticeably increase safety for university members.

The IT services start to roll out the new log-in system, which will better protect the university network from cyber attacks in the future.

The survey results are now available and provide impulses for evaluations in all areas. It can be used as a basis for continuous improvements of the working conditions at the university.

A total of 976 university employees participated in the preponed election of the staff council on 18 and 19 June 2024.

Effective immediately, the declaration of sick notes and return to work follow a new procedure: It shall now be made online, following the instructions at https://uol.de/en/illness-resumption_intranet.
