The Smart House Oldenburg is dedicated to the dialog between science and society and offers insights into the research of the University of Oldenburg and the Jade University of Applied Sciences.

This "House of Science" is located in the center of Oldenburg's city center and sees itself as an interface between people from the city and region and science.

The aim of the Smart House is to bring science closer to the citizens of Oldenburg and the region in an understandable way. Complex topics are presented in an exciting way in lectures and discussions as well as in the form of exhibitions. Communication between the public and scientists is encouraged.

Scientists from the University of Oldenburg and the Jade University of Applied Sciences have the opportunity to present their research topics to the interested public in the Smart House, thereby demonstrating the social dimension and responsibility of science.
