Special admission requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in a professionally suitable, previous degree program with a corresponding focus and special expertise in Biology with focus on molecular life sciences, Biochemistry, molecular Biology, molecular Biomedicine or other suitable programs with a total of at least 180 ECTS credits.
- Professionally suitable is a study program from the above mentioned fields in which at least 40 ECTS credits in at least three of the following subject areas were acquired: Molecular Biology, Genetics, Cell Biology, Developmental Biology, Biochemistry, Immunology, Physiology (Human or Animal), molecular Neurobiology
- English language proficiency at level B2 of Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR). Proof of language proficiency by a university degree obtained in English or through one of the following language certificates: TOEFL, IELTS, Cambridge English Language Assessment, etc.

With a first degree from Germany you need to apply online from June 1st, 2025 until July 15th, 2025 for the beginning of Wintersemester 2025/2026.For the online application please have your personal data and your university degree from Germany on hand. Another option is to use your transcript of records with the total amount of your credit points and overall average grade of your studies.
At the end of the online application you get the document Bewerbungsantrag to print out. Please send this document signed with all other mentioned documents to the University of Oldenburg.
