Special admission requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in a professionally suitable, previous degree program with a corresponding focus and special expertise in Biology with focus on molecular life sciences, Biochemistry, molecular Biology, molecular Biomedicine or other suitable programs with a total of at least 180 ECTS credits.
  • Professionally suitable is a study program from the above mentioned fields in which at least 40 ECTS credits in at least three of the following subject areas were acquired: Molecular Biology, Genetics, Cell Biology, Developmental Biology, Biochemistry, Immunology, Physiology (Human or Animal), molecular Neurobiology
  • English language proficiency at level B2 of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR)
    Applicants who are not native speakers or have completed their first degree in English in a country with English or German as an official language need to provide an English Language certificate (e.g. TOEFL, IELTS, Cambridge First Certificate), which is no older than 2 years.

The fully completed “special eligibility form” must be submitted alongside the application documents (an updated version will soon be available).
