About us
The School VI Medicine and Health Sciences comprises the fields of human medicine, medical physics and acoustics, neurosciences, psychology and health care research. Together with the four regional hospitals, School VI forms the University Medical Centre Oldenburg. Furthermore, the University cooperates closely with the University Medical Centre Groningen.
Your tasks
Your tasks include fundamental research work and teaching. Our research focuses on the neurophysiology of the auditory system using animal models (data collection, analysis, and presentation). We employ cutting-edge electrophysiological methods to study synaptic function and auditory signal coding.
Your profile
Required qualifications:
- Completed academic university degree (University Diploma / Master) in natural sciences, human medicine, or comparable area, and a doctorate in natural sciences.
Preferred qualifications:
- Knowledge of the nervous system physiology.
- Expertise in synaptic transmission and signal processing is advantageous.
- The Division of Physiology teaches within the study programs Human Medicine, Molecular Biomedicine, Physics, Technology and Medicine. According to expertise, the successful candidate will be ideally involved in teaching.
