About us
The Chair for Organization and Leadership at the Department of Business Administration, Economics and Law, at the University of Oldenburg works at the intersections of organization studies, strategic leadership, and innovation research. Core research themes include "informal organization through networks," "dynamics of intra- and interorganizational networks," and "digitalization of collaboration and knowledge transfer"; the results of our research are regularly published in world-leading management journals. Teaching activities include courses in various formats in the areas of organization, human resources, and leadership.
Your tasks
- Conducting research projects, particularly in the research areas of the Chair (informal organization through networks, dynamics of intra- and inter-organizational networks, digitalization of collaboration and knowledge transfer)
- Writing scientific articles for publication in leading international journals
- Participation in university teaching (4 teaching hours per semester)
- Assisting with administrative tasks
Your profile
Requirements
- University degree (MSc or equivalent) in management, economics, social sciences, psychology, industrial engineering or related areas
- Completed PhD at the time of hiring
- Experience in writing English-language scientific articles with the aim of publishing in leading international management journals
Additionally desired
- PhD topic adjacent to the research areas of the Chair
- Strong knowledge of empirical research methods and data analysis (especially quantitative methods;) and a willingness to further develop methodological skills
- Knowledge in social network analysis
- Independent working style, analytical thinking skills, and high motivation
- Ability to work in a team and openness to new topics and projects
- Interest in university teaching
- Excellent English skills as well as solid German language skills, both written and spoken
