Application web portal
Application web portal
The University of Oldenburg has decided to introduce a web-based software to carry out application and appointment procedures. Since 2023, a gradual connection of the organizational units has been taking place, initially for applications in the MTV area.
What does the portal contain?
The entire application process is mapped in the portal - from the application to the appointment proposal.
- Applicants submit their application in full via the portal and can view the status of the procedure via the portal.
- The Commission receives the application documents and additional procedural information via the portal and works digitally.
- Communication with the applicants takes place via the portal.
What are the advantages of an application portal?
Data analysisThe portal enables the statistical evaluation of anonymized data, thus the continuous improvement of procedures and recruitment.
Process optimizationThe handling of procedures is supported by automated processes. Data can be collected precisely and is available immediately, eliminating the need to create synopses manually.
Transparency The status of the process is transparent for all parties involved at all times.
Procedural and quality assurance Standardized procedures and templates ensure efficient processing and high quality standards. Data protection is ensured.
Accessibility The application portal is barrier-free and accessible to applicants around the clock
How do I apply via the portal?
As an applicant, you can access the application portal via the “Apply now” button or via the link in the job advertisement. After a short registration process, you will have access to the current procedures. By registering in the portal, we can communicate with you via the portal and you can view the current status of the process at any time. You can enter your details in the application form and upload additional application documents (cover letter, CV, references) as attachments.
Are there special aspects regarding in-house applications?
We kindly ask in-house applicants to register with a private e-mail address.
The official e-mail address of the UOL is reserved for the participation in an appointment committee.
Do I receive notifications via the portal?
We will communicate with you via the portal. The e-mail address registered in your profile is used in this regard for further legally binding communication in the procedure (inquiries, possible invitations to hearings/interviews, rejections, etc.). You will be informed of the receipt of a new message in the portal via a system message to this e-mail address.
How can I view the status of the procedure?
Applicants can find out about the status of the procedure by logging in with their user account. The current status of the procedure is displayed in the "My forms" section.
How do I get access to the portal?
To participate in the appointment procedure, you will receive an invitation e-mail with a link to register in the portal.
Members of the UOL can log in via the button “University Login (only for the participation in commissions)". You can find additional instructions here.
As an external member/reviewer you can register with your e-mail address and a password of your choice. For further details, please also refer to the invitation e-mail.
