Advice on career planning for students

The ZSKB’s career counselling service is here to help you identify and develop your career perspectives. We can help you find answers to your specific questions.

For example, we can help you with questions such as:

  • What are my career goals?
  • Which occupations should I consider?
  • Do the skills required match my profile?
  • What are my strengths and how can I develop them?
  • How can I improve my chances and achieve my goals?

Target group: Students and graduates (up to one year after graduation) of the University of Oldenburg

More and more students are seeking advice

There are various reasons for this:

  • changes in the labour markets
  • flexibilisation of working hours
  • temporary employment relationships
  • Corona-related job losses and the consequences of a possible economic crisis
  • expansion of fields of activity and occupation
  • uncertainty about one's own career options
  • fear of making the wrong choice
  • emergence of new job titles and images
  • vacillating between different career ideas and long search phases
  • rapidly changing and increasing qualification requirements
  • unpredictability of labour market forecasts

And there are no doubt many more...

The ZSKB’s career counselling service responds to these demands by addressing common and topical issues in its series of events. The ZSKB’s advisors also work with you to identify, explore and further develop any concerns you might have about your future career.
