Non-University Research Institutions on Campus
Structurally anchored cooperations exist with national non-university research institutions. A Max Planck Junior Researcher Group and three Fraunhofer Working Groups have been established on site. Furthermore, ten joint professorships with non-university research institutions have been established through institutionalised cooperation; preparations for several additional professorships are in progress.
The most recent addition is a joint appointment at the Helmholtz Institute for Functional Marine Biodiversity at the University of Oldenburg (HIFMB) in conjunction with the Alfred Wegener Institue (AWI).
