Henriette Herz Scouts of the Alexander von Humboldt Foundation

The Alexander von Humboldt Foundation's Henriette Herz Scouting Programme is aimed in two programme lines at 1.) rising academics who have only recently taken on a (junior) professorship or group leadership and 2.) established researchers. Applications from individuals who do not yet have any connections to the Humboldt Foundation are particularly welcome. Klaus Tschira Boost Fund

The Klaus Tschira Boost Fund enables scientists (in the early stages of their careers) in the natural sciences, mathematics and computer science to acquire additional project and personnel funding.

The idea behind the funding is:

  • Flexible application for funding to create scope for own, riskier as well as interdisciplinary projects,
  • support for the establishment of (international) cooperations and networks,
  • Targeted support and advice for professional and personal development.

 

Hanse Wissenschaftskolleg - Institute for Advanced Study

The

Hanse Wissenschaftskolleg Delmenhorst

- Institute for Advanced Study regularly announces fellowships for postdocs. The aim of this non-material or financial support is to promote (scientific) careers through the opportunity to network or to develop one's own network.

Joachim Herz Foundation

Within the framework of the call for proposals, up to 20 fellowships for interdisciplinary research will be awarded to doctoral students and postdocs. The fellows will be funded with up to 12,000 euros over a period of two years. The funding is intended to enable research stays, conference visits and the purchase of equipment. Boehringer Ingelheim Foundation

The Boehringer Ingelheim Foundation supports junior research group leaders in the fields of medicine, biology and chemistry to further develop their independent research profile and to become eligible for appointment. Application deadlines: 15 March and 15 September of each year.

Scholarship Programme of the Daimler and Benz Foundation

Every year, the Daimler and Benz Foundation awards ten scholarships to postdocs, junior professors or heads of young research groups. Further information can be found on the Daimler and Benz Foundation website.

Robert Bosch Foundation

The Robert Bosch Stiftung offers various support measures for your projects. You can find more information about funding opportunities on the Foundation's pages.

Dr. Walter and Luise Freundlich Foundation

Ambitious young German medical researchers can apply to the Freundlich Foundation on their own initiative to apply flexibly and unbureaucratically for funding for travel grants, research stays abroad and publications. In urgent cases, the Foundation responds extremely quickly to these requests.

Lower Saxony - Scotland Tandem Fellowship Programme

The "Lower Saxony - Scotland Tandem Fellowship Programme" enables doctoral students and postdocs to conduct joint research at universities in Lower Saxony and Scotland. The focus is on internationalisation and competence building in order to promote cross-border European cooperation in science and research.
