Vice President for Instruction and Equal Opportunities
Professor Sabine Kyora has been Vice President for Instruction and Equality at the University of Oldenburg since January 1, 2016.
She studied German Studies, Literature and History in Hamburg and Bielefeld. After obtaining her PhD at Bielefeld University, she worked as a postdoctorate researcher at the Graduate School for Gender Difference & Literature at the Ludwig Maximilian University of Munich. She received her post-doctoral degree (‘Habilitation’) at Bielefeld University in 1999. Since 2002, she has taught Modern German Literature at the University of Oldenburg. Professor Kyora was Dean of School III: Linguistics and Cultural Studies from 2012 to 2015. She is Deputy Spokesperson for the DFG graduate college Selbst-Bildungen" (‘Self-Making’).
