Cooperations of the Graduate Academy

In order to further strengthen the support of researchers in the early stages of their careers, the University of Oldenburg cooperates with several universities in the area of graduate support. For example, doctoral students from Bremen University of Applied Sciences, Emden/Leer University of Applied Sciences, Jade University of Applied Sciences and the University of Bremen as well as researchers in early career phases at the HIFMB can take part in the Graduate Academy workshops.
Doctoral candidates at the University of Oldenburg can in turn take advantage of the services offered by BYRD of the University of Bremen. In addition, the Jade University of Applied Sciences Wilhelmshaven/Oldenburg/Elsfleth offers special qualification measures as part of the "Fachhochschulprofessur" career path, which may be open to doctoral candidates from the University of Oldenburg as well.

The Carl von Ossietzky University of Oldenburg is a member of the University Association for the Qualification of Academic Career Paths in Germany UniWiND.

About us

About us

The transition from academic qualification to a career with longer-term prospects within and outside academia is often difficult. The Graduate Academy aims to support academic career paths at the Carl von Ossietzky University of Oldenburg and offers a differentiated qualification concept for participants at all qualification levels (doctoral candidates, postdoctoral researchers, habilitation candidates and junior professors) in all faculties . In line with the European competence model European Competence Framework for Researchers the Graduate Academy's program aims to strengthen the individual's interdisciplinary competence profile (the so-called transferable skills) and thus promotes the individual career development of researchers.
