Discovery Days in Mathematics, Computing Science, and Natural Sciences

An event hosted by School V - Mathematics and Natural Sciences, the Department of Computing Science, and the Department of Neuroscience

Over 700 pupils and teachers came to the Wechloy campus on the first day of the Discovery Days. The hands-on and informational activities in maths, science, technology, computer science and neuroscience were correspondingly well attended and in high demand. Questions about research, teaching, studying and training at the university were answered at the Discovery Market on the ring road of Campus Wechloy and almost every stand offered hands-on, hands-on and hands-on science. In addition to numerous lectures on various topics, the ICBM's offerings and the guided tours and workshops in the laboratories, the observatory and in the nature of the Wechloy campus also met with great interest.

On Saturday, the campus then opened its doors to the general public. Numerous families and other visitors took the opportunity to get to know the university from a completely different angle. Former students came by to rediscover their campus and the electron microscopy, wind tunnel and aquarium facilities were also in high demand on the second day.

Both days were a great success for the organisation team, with many exciting encounters and lots of good discussions. Many thanks to all the dedicated helpers who made this event possible in the first place and many thanks to all those involved who filled the Discovery Day with life with their ideas and the implementation and execution of the numerous programme items.
