DAAD Language Certificate
The DAAD language certificate in English is part of many applications for a semester abroad or scholarships. Information about studying abroad can be found at the International Office (IO). The Language Center offers test dates for the DAAD language certificate in English at regular intervals (at least once a month). The test consists of a writing task and a conversation in English on previously given reading texts and, if necessary, a short grammar test, and serves to assess your English language skills.
The writing task takes place in person at the Language Center and lasts a maximum of 60 minutes. The oral exam takes place online via BigBlueButton and takes approximately 25 minutes.
This test is not a B1/B2/C1 certificate and cannot be used as proof of language proficiency for studying at the University of Oldenburg or another university!

- 21.01.2025 from 09 a.m.-1 p.m. (oral exam)
registration deadline: 13.01.2025
- 11.02.2025 from 09 a.m.-1 p.m. (oral exam)
registration deadline: 03.02.2025
You will be asked to choose a time slot for the written part of the examination when signing up online.
To register online, you will need the DAAD form, which you should fill in, sign and upload as a PDF file.
After the registration deadline, you will receive an e-mail with the exact time and location of the written exam, the link to the virtual oral exam room and links to the texts which you need to prepare for the oral exam. You will receive another e-mail with the invoice for the test.

- € 20,- for students of the University of Oldenburg
Currently, the DAAD language test is only offered to students of the University of Oldenburg
Withdrawal:
Withdrawal from the binding registration is only possible by e-mail to sprachenzentrum@uol.de and until the above-mentioned registration deadline of the respective test date. After that, the full test fee is due.
