B1/B2/C1-exam (English)
The Language Centre offers its own language examinations in English for levels B1, B2 and C1. These serve, for example, as admission requirements for some degree programmes at the University of Oldenburg.
Please inform yourself about the respective degree programme or read the admission regulations for your desired degree programme! You can register for the desired language examination directly via this homepage. You will find the link to the online registration directly in the respective examination offers. The examinations are exclusively for students of the University of Oldenburg!

B1 exam
The B1 language exam serves as proof of language proficiency in some degree programmes. Please find out in the degree programme of your choice which proof you need to provide and in what form. Please read the admission regulations and enquire with the subject advisors of your chosen degree programme! The B1 examination tests language skills in the areas of listening, reading, writing and speaking at level B1 of the CEFR. The Language Centre conducts this exam regularly (usually at the end of the semester). Participation in an English course at the Language Centre is not a prerequisite, but certainly does no harm.
The exams are exclusively for students of the University of Oldenburg! The B1 exam costs 40.00 euros. Minimum number of participants: 5 The next exam dates:
- 16.05.2024 from 9 a.m. -12 p.m.
oral: 21.+22..05.2024 from 9 a.m. - 1:05 p.m.
(registration deadline 06.05.2024).
After the registration deadline you will receive the invoice and an email with further information.
Please note that registration is binding. Registrations after the registration deadline cannot be considered. Cancellation: Cancellation of the binding registration is only possible by sending an email to and until the above-mentioned registration deadline of the respective date. After that, the full test fee will be due. Please read the FAQ!
