Helene Lange Mentoring Programme for Researchers

Mentoring has been ...

Dear mentees, dear mentors, dear interested parties,
Since ancient times, mentoring has been one of the most effective methods of passing on knowledge, professional and personal experience and thus promoting mostly younger people. However, it is never a one-way street. Both people who decide to go part of the way together learn from each other, share attitudes, wishes, plans and experiences. This is why such a special relationship often lasts for a long time. You stay "in touch".
With the Helene Lange Mentoring Program, the University of Oldenburg is convinced that it is making a valuable offer to its academics in different career phases that effectively supports them in achieving their professional and personal goals. I myself was able to give a lecture at the opening in 2020 and have been following the successful development of the program with personal interest ever since.
I am delighted that you are interested in our mentoring program and are perhaps considering participating as a mentor or mentee. Please feel free to browse through these pages and read the comments from alumni. The coordinators of the program lines are also happy to provide further information.
Yours sincerely,
Prof. Dr. Katharina Al-Shamery
Vice President for Academic Career Paths, Equal Opportunities and International Affairs
