Good Research Practices during the Doctorate

eLearning course "Good Research Practice during Doctoral Studies"

How should research results be documented? What is the right way to cite? How does one handle image sources? Answers to questions about correct scientific work practices are provided in the eLearning course "Good Research Practice during Doctoral Studies" that is available in German and English language. GRADE, the (post)graduate academy of Goethe University, has designed this course, which has won prizes by now, to be interdisciplinary and has made it available to the University of Oldenburg and its doctoral candidates among others.

Besides the basics of good research practices the tool also covers a review of additional topics regarding doctoral work: How to wisely plan and organize the research project and which legal aspects, such as in labour law or copyright law, are relevant for doctoral candidates. Please note that this tool offers a fantastic first access to the topic of good research practices; a deeper review and/or discussion is nevertheless encouraged.

There is comprehensive information, tests to check the knowledge gained as well as supplementary information material. The tool consists of five modules, completing all takes about 60 minutes. You can interrupt the course at any time, recover your previous progress or repeat modules. At the end there is a possibilty to obtain a certificate containing also the logo of the University of Oldenburg.

You can obtain a personal license key to access the tool from the of the University of Oldenburg, access to the tool is via the website of GRADE. This personal license key enables you to use the tool in a version that is adapted to the University of Oldenburg and its specific conditions.

Important: Under „Get Full Access” you can access the tool using your personal license key and name, which is necessary for the certificate. Should you wish to interrupt the course, please take note of the recovery password. Only using this you will be able to continue the course.
