All questions concerning the subject/degree:Risk Management and Financial Analysis - Master's Programme
Orientation and Goals
Professional risk management is making entrepreneurial decisions under uncertainty. The basis for this often are economic considerations, which are supported by sound financial analysis.
The Master's programme in Risk Management and Financial Analysis enables students to gain further academic qualifications at university level through practice-oriented, internet-based learning, which enables them to act competently in financially oriented risk management. The programme focuses on the management of risks that have an impact on financial targets or arise from the use of financial instruments. Application-oriented, in-depth knowledge in the relevant mathematical-statistical and economic areas is taught; mathematical and economic competences are developed in equal measure.
The use of various methods and analytical tools for the calculation and (financial) evaluation of risks is learned. Furthermore, risk management and financial analysis are addressed in the context of relevant social developments and discourses, such as digitalisation and sustainability, as well as their classification in the corporate and regulatory context. Current corporate practice and national and European legal requirements - especially for financial service providers - are taken into account.
The Master's programme in Risk Management and Financial Analysis offers an extra-occupational academic further qualification at university level, which aims to enable specialists in financially oriented risk management.
By dovetailing theory and practice, you can reflect on practical professional issues in a theoretically well-founded way during your studies and at the same time apply and test theoretical approaches in your daily work. You thus receive a valuable and quality-assured qualification.
