Educator and school developer Heinz Klippert gives lecture at the Pedagogical Week
"Promoting learning - relieving teachers. Stimulating heterogeneity in the classroom" is the title of the lecture by renowned educationalist and school developer Dr Heinz Klippert on Wednesday, 25 September at 2.00 pm at the University of Oldenburg (Haarentor campus, lecture hall centre A 14). Klippert will be giving the lecture as part of the 30th Pedagogical Week, which is expected to attract more than 1,000 participants.
The current results of educational and teaching research have led to a new concept of learning: Learning is seen as a constructive process. Pupils are increasingly taking responsibility for their own learning and directing it themselves. Teachers have new tasks to fulfil. They become moderators and learning guides. The new teaching concepts in the face of growing heterogeneity in the classroom - not least due to inclusion - are called individualisation, differentiation and teacher-centred one-to-one support. However, these current support approaches quickly reach their limits in everyday school life. In his presentation, Klippert shows that there is another way: he presents tried and tested strategies and examples of a practicable support culture. He explains how pupils can receive effective support and control without teachers having to constantly intervene directly.
The 30th Pedagogical Week at the University of Oldenburg is aimed at teachers and educators in the school environment. Its motto is "Dealing with diversity". The focus is on "Inclusion as a pedagogical challenge", "Ways of organising school life", "Innovative forms of movement", "Intercultural education" and "Ways of a new learning culture".
