- Funding for conference trips abroad, i.e. active participation (making a scientific contribution) in a recognised international scientific event (conference, symposium, congresses, etc.). Applications for funding for conference trips abroad must be submitted to the DAAD at least four months before the first day of the conference.
- Funding for lecture trips abroad, i.e. trips by academics who have been personally invited to speak at foreign academic institutions, and possibly at small meetings of experts/workshops with a closed list of speakers. Applications for funding for lecture trips abroad must be submitted at least one month before the start of the trip.
- The Congress and Lecture Tour programme is open to academics of all disciplines.
