The overarching aim of our course and qualification concept is to provide the best possible resources for its member researchers in order to enable them to complete their PhD in the allotted three years. However, at the same time we aim to impart our member researchers with a comprehensive skill set for a subsequent career either in universities or in science-related fields of activity.

Our supervision concept is threefold, consisting of discipline related supervision, fundamental mentoring, and career advice (external speakers, forums for practice-related discussions, internships).

The newly founded Graduate School for Humanities and Social Sciences (3GO) of Carl von Ossietzky University Oldenburg provides a broad spectrum of further qualification possibilities and offers a platform for interdisciplinary and international research and for dialogue between doctoral researchers of other graduate schools and research training groups.
