Ceremony
Following the accompanying academic programme, a ceremony took place in Oldenburg Castle to mark 40 years of cooperation between the Carl von Ossietzky University of Oldenburg and the Rijksuniversiteit Groningen.
Highlights included the ceremonial continuation of the cooperation for another ten years by Presidents Prof. Hans Michael Piper and Prof. Jouke de Vries as well as a special lecture by the Rector of the University of Groningen, Prof. Cisca Wijmenga.
