International Mobility during the Doctorate

Prof. Benjamin Elsner (University College Dublin, Ireland)
Many students contemplate going abroad for their PhD, either for an entire degree or as a visiting researcher. Going abroad can be a booster for many career paths but comes with costs and benefits. In his keynote, Dr Elsner will talk about the pros and cons of PhD studies and Post-Docs abroad and provide some tips for the application process.

Researching and establishing contacts abroad during your doctoral studies? For many, that still seems unattainable. But it is not that difficult: The info session tries to give an overview of the possibilities to research abroad and the funding options for young researchers (at PhD-level).

We really enjoyed our 10th anniversary in 2022 and are even more motivated to continue to hold science slam competitions at the University of Oldenburg. Since we're always trying new things, we're combining the Science Slam with the university's PhD day this year.
The places for the Science Slam will be in great demand again - registration is now possible for members of the University of Oldenburg via Stud.IP and for external parties by email to scienceslam@uol.de.
