When should I register?

You can register after you have received an official letter of admission from the University of Oldenburg. The earlier you register, the better your chances of getting a local buddy. You can register using the form below.

Do all international students get a Local Buddy?

We try to find a local buddy for every new international student, but we cannot guarantee this. Exchange students are always assigned a local buddy.

When will I receive the contact details of my local buddy?

The matching of local and international buddies takes place in August at the earliest for the winter semester and in February at the earliest for the summer semester.

Who are the Local Buddies?

Local Buddies are students at the University of Oldenburg who would like to get to know and support one to three international students. These can be German students as well as international students who have been studying here for some time.
