Networks and co-operations are essential for promoting climate protection and sustainability at the university and in society. The University of Oldenburg is in dialogue with numerous stakeholders at a local, regional, state, national and international level.
HighNiNa
The University of Oldenburg is a member of the Sustainability Network of Universities in Lower Saxony (HochNiNa). The University of Oldenburg has been represented in the coordination team since April 2023 and has been leading the end of project COUNTS.
City of Oldenburg
The new cooperation agreement between the city and the University of Oldenburg was adopted in November. The topic of "climate neutrality" is one of 5 key areas to be addressed as part of this co-operation.
The Hanse University Alliance (HUA) is a network of research-intensive universities in the north-west. From Groningen to Greifswald, these universities – including the University of Oldenburg – are working together to strategically position themselves and strengthen one another. Sustainability is a key issue in their collaborative work, one that the HUA wishes to prioritise.
