Bus connection

The lines mentioned here connect the university locations with the ZOB (main railway station) and the main transfer point "Lappan" (city centre). Timetables can be downloaded as a PDF.

  • The Haarentor campus (Ammerländer Heerstraße/Uhlhornsweg, see map) is served by lines 306 "Universität", 310 "Wehnen/Famila-Center" and 324 "Infanterieweg".
  • The Wechloy campus (Carl von Ossietzky-Straße, see map) is served by lines 306 "Universität" and 310 "Wehnen/Famila-Center".

By train

Information on tickets and timetables for trains within Lower Saxony and throughout Germany can be found on the

German Railways (Deutsche Bahn) website.

From Oldenburg main station, it takes about ten minutes by bus to the Haarentor campus and about 15 minutes to the Wechloy campus. The Regio-S-Bahn railway serves Oldenburg-Wechloy station. From there it is only a 900 metre walk to both the Haarentor and Wechloy campuses. Important note: Oldenburg-Wechloy station is not barrier-free.

Bicycle stations are available at Oldenburg main station to link cycle and rail transport. The stop in Wechloy also offers covered parking spaces as well as paid parking spaces in a collective locking system for bicycles.
