Approach
Approach

The university is endeavouring to become climate-neutral. We also recommend travelling by public transport and bicycle due to the good public transport connections and the bicycle parking spaces available.

Travelling by bike
Oldenburg is known as a bicycle-friendly city. The Haarentor campus can be reached by bike in about ten minutes and the Wechloy campus in about 15 minutes from Oldenburg city centre.

Travelling by public transport
The University of Oldenburg has good bus connections to both the Haarentor campus and the Wechloy campus. There is also a train connection to Oldenburg and Oldenburg-Wechloy.

Arrival by car
There are only limited parking facilities at the university campuses. The Haarentor campus has a multi-storey car park and a parking pallet.

Travelling with limited mobility
All buses in the Oldenburg city area are wheelchair accessible. Oldenburg main station is wheelchair accessible and has a guidance system for the blind. Wechloy station, on the other hand, is not barrier-free. Designated and freely accessible disabled parking spaces can be used in the multi-storey car parks and outside areas of the university.
